A 2 player sumo wrestling game online: two chunky rikishi grapple on a circular dohyo that keeps shrinking. Dash to shove, dig in to hold your ground, and push your rival clean out to win the round.
Sumo Smash is a physics shoving match played on a ring that never stops closing in. You and your rival slide around on momentum and friction, so every move carries weight and every stop takes a beat to settle. Dash toward your target for a hard, cooldown-gated lunge, or plant your feet and wait 0.6 seconds to dig in, a heavier stance that shrugs off incoming shoves while making your own hits land harder. The tactical heart of the game is timing that dig-in against an incoming dash: dig too early and you eat a full-speed collision anyway before the stance kicks in, dig too late and you get launched clean off the sand. Every ten seconds the dohyo shrinks a little more, so the safe patch of ring you were circling around slowly disappears and stalling becomes a losing plan. Play best of five against ramping CPU opponents or grab a friend for same-device local 2P, dividing the screen into two drag zones for a couch-multiplayer shove-fest that rewards patience as much as aggression.

Move your rikishi around the shrinking dohyo and slam into your opponent to knock them back; the harder and faster you're moving on contact, the bigger the shove. Stand still for a moment to dig in and become heavier and harder to push, or hold your dash to lunge forward for a big hit once its cooldown ring is full. Push your opponent's entire body outside the ring to win the round; first to 3 round wins takes the match, but the ring keeps shrinking every 10 seconds so nobody can just turtle in the middle.
Desktop: WASD to move / SPACE to dash (Player 1), Arrow keys to move / Right-Shift or Enter to dash (Player 2, local mode). Touch: drag your half of the screen to move, tap the glowing π₯ button to dash.

Dashing has a 2-second cooldown shown as a ring around your rikishi β don't waste it chasing air, save it for when your opponent is close to the edge. Digging in takes 0.6 seconds of standing still to kick in, so start planting your feet just before contact, not during it β a dash mid-transition still connects at full force.
