About Stickman Escape
Stickman Escape is a co-op breakout puzzle-platformer where you control two escapees, just never at the same time. You play one stickman while the other waits, then swap control and move the second. Both have to collect their own colored key and stand on the exit together before a sector clears, which turns every room into a little logic problem. Who steps on the pressure plate to open the door? Who waits? Who goes first through the timed laser? The hazards stack up fast across sixty sectors, throwing in sweeping lasers, pools of acid, patrolling guards with vision cones, and sealed doors that only open while someone holds a switch. Die and the sector resets instantly, bumping your reset counter, so it's all about learning the room and nailing the run. As you descend, the neon facility shifts through six themed blocks. The controls are tight, with proper coyote time and jump buffering, and that final Freedom screen is well earned. Short-burst, brain-and-reflex platforming at its most moreish.
Inside Stickman Escape: what we checked
The numbers below come from Stickman Escape's own source code, and the screenshots are from our own test run of the game (20 October 2026).
- There are 60 sectors in five facilities of 12: Holding, Foundry, Bio-Lab, Cryo-Vault and Red Block. The first four sectors are hand-built; the other 56 are generated from a fixed seed per sector, so each one is the same every time.
- You steer one stickman at a time and press F to swap to the other. The blue stickman can only pick up the blue key and the red one only the red key. Both must be standing on the exit together.
- Either stickman touching a hazard kills the pair, and the sector resets after about half a second. Acid melts, a lit laser zaps, and a guard that sees either of them detects them.
- A guard sees in a wide triangle in front of it, not just along a line, and anyone inside it is caught with no warning period. The guards patrol back and forth, and later sectors make them faster with longer sight.
- Hold Z to zoom the camera out and see more of the sector, R to restart it and P or Escape to pause.
- Nothing is saved between visits: which sectors you have unlocked on the Sectors screen is only remembered until you close or reload the page.

How to play Stickman Escape
Move the active stickman and jump across each sector, then press Switch to take control of the other one. Each character must grab their matching colored key, and both must stand on the exit at the same time to clear the sector. Step on pressure plates to open sealed doors, time your runs through the lasers, jump over acid, and stay out of the guards' vision cones. Die and the sector resets instantly, so learn the layout and try again.
Controls
On desktop: A/D or arrow keys to move, W / Up / Space to jump, F to switch characters, Z to zoom out, R to restart, P or Esc to pause, M to mute. On mobile use the on-screen move, jump and swap pad. Progress saves per sector.
Tips & tricks
- Plan the whole sector before you move, decide who opens the door and who walks through.
- One stickman can stand on a pressure plate to hold a door open for the other.
- Lasers blink on a rhythm; wait a beat and cross the instant the beam goes dark.
- Guards only catch you inside their cone, so slip behind them or pass while they look away.
