About Snake Arena
Snake Arena takes the old three-button Snake you grew up with and drops it into a glowing neon pit full of hungry AI rivals, all chasing the same orbs you are. Your snake's head trails your mouse or finger, so steering feels less like tapping directions and more like drawing a line and hoping nobody crosses it. Eat glowing orbs, stretch longer, and try not to be the one who panics.
The real game is baiting. When a rival's head slams into your body, it detonates into a pile of orbs, and that pile is a free feast if you can loop around and hoover it up before someone else does. So you learn to cut in front of a bigger snake, force the crash, then wheel back for the leftovers. Boost helps you slam that door shut or bolt out of a tightening ring, but it quietly nibbles your length, so you save it for the moment that actually matters.
It rewards nerve and spatial awareness more than reflexes. Good for a five-minute leaderboard grudge or a long climb toward the top spot.
Inside Snake Arena: what we checked
The numbers below come from Snake Arena's own source code, and the screenshots are from our own test run of the game (20 October 2026).
- You share a 3,200 × 3,200 arena with nine computer snakes and 520 orbs. When a rival dies, a new one between 8 and 21 segments long takes its place.
- Every segment of length you gain is worth 10 points.
- Boost makes you 1.85 times faster, but only once you are longer than 12. It empties its meter in about two seconds, refills in about four, and sheds roughly two segments a second as orbs behind you.
- Size costs speed: as your snake gets thicker it slows down, by up to 18%.
- The arena edge kills you the same way another snake's body does.
- Computer snakes only hunt snakes shorter than 70% of their own length, and even then not every time.

How to play Snake Arena
Steer your snake to gobble glowing orbs and stretch longer. When an enemy snake's head smacks into your body, it bursts into a pile of orbs you can devour for fast growth. But if YOUR head hits a body or the wall? It's game over. Boost to escape or cut off rivals, though it'll cost you a little length.
