A last-one-standing io game on three floors of hexagon tiles. Every tile drops away a moment after someone steps on it. Keep running, jump the gaps, and outlast the other runners before the floors run out.
About Hex Fall
Hex Fall takes the most nerve-racking round of any party obstacle game and makes it the whole game. A crowd of little bean-shaped runners stands on a floor built from pink hexagons, hanging in space. The moment anyone steps on a tile it flashes white, shrinks and falls away. There are two more floors below, blue and then green, and after the green one there is nothing.
You cannot stand still, because the tile under you is already going. So the game becomes a question of where to run. Every step uses up floor, and so does every step your rivals take. Long, straight lines across untouched tiles keep you up the longest. Wandering in circles carves out an island and leaves you stranded on it. A jump carries you across a gap about two tiles wide without touching anything in between, and it is the only way off an island once you are on one.
Falling through a hole is not the end. You land on the floor below and carry on, with fewer tiles and less time. The floors above you disappear from view, the ones below show through the gaps in a darker shade, and a label at the bottom tells you which floor you are on. Fall from the last floor and you are out.
The other runners are computer players who get smarter and more numerous each round, up to nine. You score for every second you survive, for every rival who drops out before you, and a bonus for winning the round. The run ends when you fall, and your best score is saved.

How to play Hex Fall
Run across the hexagon tiles. Each tile falls about half a second after it is first touched, so keep moving onto fresh tiles. Press jump to leap over holes. If you fall through, you continue on the floor below; there are three floors. Stay up longer than every other runner to win the round. Falling from the bottom floor ends the run.
Controls

Tips & tricks
- Run in long straight lines over fresh tiles. Zig-zagging uses up floor twice as fast.
- Stay on the top floor as long as you can. Rivals who fall early use up the lower floors before you get there.
- A jump clears about two tiles. Look at where you will land first: coming down on a tile that is already flashing just drops you a floor.
- Watch where the others are heading and go the other way, so you are not sharing the same patch of floor.
Frequently asked questions
How many floors are there in Hex Fall?
Three. You start on the pink top floor, fall to the blue one and then the green one. Falling through the green floor eliminates you.
Do I play against real people?
No. The other runners are computer-controlled, so a round starts immediately and there is no waiting for a lobby. They get better and more numerous each round.
How do I jump over a gap?
Press Space, click or tap while running toward the gap. The jump carries you roughly two tiles and you do not trigger any tile while you are in the air.
Does Hex Fall save my progress?
Yes — Hex Fall keeps your best score and settings in this browser's local storage, so they are still there when you come back on the same device. Nothing is uploaded and no account is involved — clearing your browser data is what resets it.
