One-button slot car racing on a living-room floor. Hold to feed your car power, let go before the bends, and keep it in the slot. Five laps against a rival car on a new circuit every stage.
About Slot Sprint
Slot Sprint is a slot car set laid out on a wooden floor and seen from above: a ribbon of black plastic track with red and white edging, two metal slots running around it, and two little cars, yours red and your rival's blue, each locked into its own lane.
Because the cars are guided by the slot there is nothing to steer. The whole race is played with one control, the power. Hold it and the car accelerates; let go and it brakes hard, the way slot cars do. On the straights you want the power on. The corners are where races are decided, because a slot car that enters a bend too fast swings its tail out, loses its grip and is thrown off the track. It is put back after a second and a half, standing still, and that is usually enough to lose the lead.
The game gives you two things to read. The bar at the top shows your speed, with a white mark for the fastest the current bend can be taken; keep the bar at or under the mark and you are safe. When you go over, the bar turns orange and then red, the car starts to slide and smoke, and a ring around it drains to show how much grip is left. A short burst over the limit is survivable. Staying over it is not.
Each race is five laps. Win and the next stage opens on a new circuit with tighter bends and a rival who drives nearer the limit. Lose and you race the same one again. Stage, wins and best lap are saved.

How to play Slot Sprint
Hold the button to accelerate along the track and release it to brake. Slow down before each bend so that the speed bar is at or below the white mark, then power out. If the bar turns red for too long, the grip ring around your car empties and the car flies off the track, costing about two seconds. Complete five laps before the blue car to win and unlock the next track.
Controls
Desktop: hold Space, the Up arrow or the mouse button to accelerate and release to brake; P to pause, M to mute. Touch: hold a finger anywhere on the screen to accelerate and lift it to brake.
Tips & tricks
- Brake before the bend, not in it. Let go while you are still on the straight and get back on the power at the middle of the corner.
- The white mark on the speed bar is the limit for the corner you are in. Watch it move as the bend tightens.
- A brief flash of orange is fine and is the fastest way round. A steady red is a crash.
- Flying off costs more than a whole lap of careful driving gains. When in doubt, lift.
Frequently asked questions
How do I stop my car flying off in Slot Sprint?
Release the button before each bend so the speed bar drops to the white mark. The car leaves the track only when it stays over that limit long enough to empty the grip ring around it.
Is there any steering?
No. The car follows its slot. You control only the power: hold to accelerate, release to brake.
How do I unlock new tracks?
Win a race by completing five laps before the blue car. Each win opens the next stage, which has a new circuit and a faster rival.
Does Slot Sprint save my progress?
Yes — Slot Sprint saves your progress and settings in this browser's local storage, so you can pick up where you left off on the same device. Nothing is uploaded and no account is involved — clearing your browser data is what resets it.
