About Blast Arena
Blast Arena drops you into a crate-packed maze with three rival bots who all want the same thing you do: to be the only one left standing. Lay a bomb, back off, and watch the cross-shaped blast tear through crates, chain into other bombs, and clear whoever is careless enough to be standing in it. Broken crates sometimes leave behind a power-up, so every explosion is a small gamble between staying safe and grabbing an edge.
The bots aren't pushovers. They hunt crates, close in when you wander too close, and scatter the moment a fuse gets lit nearby, so cornering them takes real setup rather than luck. A round ends the instant you go down or the last bot does, and every win gets banked so you can chase a longer streak.
It rewards patience as much as aggression: rushing in with no escape route is the fastest way to end a round early, while a well-placed bomb and a clean retreat can take out two threats at once.
Inside Blast Arena: what we checked
The numbers below come from Blast Arena's own source code, and the screenshots are from our own test run of the game (20 October 2026).
- The arena is 13 × 11 with fixed pillars on every other square and crates on about 55% of the open squares. Only the three squares in each corner are cleared for the starting players, so you always have to blast your way out.
- A bomb fuses for 2.2 seconds, then the blast runs out in the four directions up to your range. It stops at pillars and at the first crate, which it destroys. A bomb caught in a blast goes off at once, so chain reactions are real.
- You start with 1 bomb, range 1 and base speed. About 35% of crates drop a power-up, which is a bomb, a range or a speed boost with equal odds. Bombs and range top out at 6 and speed at 2.2 times the base.
- There are no lives: any blast that reaches you ends the round, and it also kills the bots, including from their own bombs. You win when all three bots are out.
- The 60-second clock in the top right is a real limit: if it runs out while you and at least one bot are still standing, the round ends as a loss.
- Arrows or WASD move one square at a time, and Space or X drops a bomb. Your number of wins is kept in this browser.

How to play Blast Arena
Move around the grid and drop bombs to blast through crates and rival bots. Bombs explode after a short fuse in a cross-shaped blast that destroys crates, chains other bombs, and eliminates anyone caught inside, so place one and retreat to safety. Pick up power-ups from broken crates to carry more bombs, throw a bigger blast, or move faster, and survive until you're the last one standing.
Controls
Arrow keys or WASD to move, SPACE or X to drop a bomb, M to mute; on touch, use the bottom-left d-pad to move and the bottom-right button to bomb.
Tips & tricks
- Never plant a bomb without knowing your escape route first; a dead-end corner is how most rounds end early.
- Bombs chain-react, so lure a bot near a bomb you've already lit rather than lighting a second one yourself.
- Grab bigger-blast power-ups early; a longer fuse range lets you clear crates and cut off bots from a safe distance.
- Bots scatter the instant a fuse is lit, so drop a bomb to flush one out of a corner instead of chasing it in.

Partly. Blast Arena keeps a running win/loss tally and your settings in this browser's local storage; there is no level progress to save. Nothing is uploaded and no account is involved — clearing your browser data is what resets it.
Is Blast Arena unblocked at school or work?
Blast Arena is a plain web page of about 33 KB — no plugin, no installer, no app store — so it loads on a Chromebook or a locked-down school or office laptop the same way any other page does, and the whole game arrives in one short download. Whether it opens comes down to your network's filter rather than the game itself.
