About Merge Gunner
Merge Gunner is a merge-and-defend game where every gun on your grid fires by itself and your job is to make the grid stronger faster than the enemy gets tougher. A tier-one pistol costs a few coins. Drag it onto another pistol and you get a submachine gun; two of those make a shotgun; and the chain keeps climbing through rifles, miniguns, lasers and rockets to a plasma cannon that clears a lane on its own. Each tier has its own projectile, fire rate, sound and damage, so a merge is always a visible, audible upgrade rather than a bigger number.
The raiders come from the right in forty waves: ordinary walkers first, then runners who sprint at the wall, shield carriers who soak damage, brutes, flyers who sail over your low guns, and a boss with its own health bar every tenth wave. Coins drop from kills and trickle in on their own, the buy price rises with every purchase, and the wall has hit points that repairs can restore between waves. Lose the wall and the run is over; your best wave is kept.
The decisions are small and constant. Buy now or save for a repair, merge two low guns or keep them firing, spend on a tier you already have or push the top tier one step higher. It is a satisfying idle-adjacent loop that rewards attention, and it plays naturally with a thumb on a phone or a mouse on a desk.

How to play Merge Gunner
Tap BUY to place a tier-one gun on the grid. Drag a gun onto another gun of the same tier to merge them into the next tier. Every gun on the grid aims and fires automatically at the raiders walking in from the right. Coins come from kills and a slow trickle; the buy price rises each time. Keep the wall standing: if raiders reach it they break it down, and a repair between waves restores it. Clear all forty waves, including the four bosses, to win.

Desktop: drag guns with the mouse, or move a cursor with the arrow keys and press Enter to pick up and place; B buys, P pauses, M mutes. Touch: drag guns with your finger and tap BUY.
Tips & tricks
- Merge early. Two tier-one pistols firing separately do less damage than the single tier-two gun they become.
- Keep one spare slot free on the grid, or you will have nowhere to drop a newly bought gun.
- Save a little before every tenth wave: a repair right before the boss is worth more than one more pistol.
- Flyers pass over low guns, so put your highest tier in the top row where it can reach them.
