Word puzzles built on association rather than spelling — group the words that belong together, and work out why.
This one is not really about words at all. You get a set of them and have to sort them into groups, and the difficulty is that most of them plausibly belong in more than one place. The puzzle is not finding the words; it is finding the category the setter had in mind.
That makes it much closer to a lateral thinking puzzle than to a word game. A round might hand you sixteen terms where four are types of knot, four are dance moves, four are card games and four are things that can precede "board" — and several will fit two of those at once. The correct approach is to solve the group you are most certain about last, not first, because the overlaps resolve themselves once the unambiguous words are claimed by their true categories.
It is the hardest of the word games here and the most satisfying to finish, because the moment of solving is a genuine click of understanding rather than a scan completing. Also the one most worth playing with someone else — two people talk each other out of wrong groupings surprisingly well.

Solve the group you are surest about last — overlaps resolve themselves. If a word fits two groups, it usually belongs to neither yet. The full tips list on this page covers the rest.
Word Jam is a plain web page — no plugin, no installer, no app store — so it loads on a Chromebook or a locked-down school or office laptop the same way any other page does. Whether it opens comes down to your network's filter rather than the game itself, and there is nothing to install either way.
