About Mahjong Match
This is the stacked-pyramid mahjong, the one that looks like a small tiled fortress when you start. A tile is playable only if it is free — nothing resting on top of it, and at least one long side unblocked. Match two free tiles that show the same face and they vanish, which frees whatever they were pinning down.
That constraint is the entire game and it is why this version rewards patience over speed. The board almost always offers you more than one legal match, and picking the wrong one buries a tile you will need in twenty moves. The habit worth building is to look upward first: clear the tiles that are holding the most weight, even when an easier pair is sitting right there in the open.
Losing here rarely feels random. When you run out of moves you can usually retrace exactly where you took the greedy match instead of the useful one, which is a far more satisfying kind of defeat than bad luck. The layouts here are the traditional ones, so the muscle memory carries straight over from any other mahjong you have played.
