Tangram Fit is the quiet, satisfying kind of puzzle you play with your shoulders relaxed. You get the seven classic tangram pieces, two big triangles, two small ones, a medium triangle, a square, and that sneaky parallelogram, and a softly lit silhouette waiting to be filled. Drag a piece onto the board, tap it to swing it 45 degrees, flip the parallelogram when a shape refuses to sit right, and feel the little magnetic snap when a piece finds its true home.
The joy is in the last two pieces. You will have five placed and feel clever, then stare at a leftover triangle and a gap that is exactly the wrong shape, until you realize the square you set down early wants to be somewhere else entirely. That re-think, that quiet click of the whole thing resolving, is the whole game.

Where Tangram Fit comes from
The tangram grew out of a Chinese pastime of arranging modular banquet tables that the Song-dynasty scholar Huang Bosi described, and the seven-piece puzzle itself is credited to an author known only by the pen name Yang-cho-chu-shih, whose original book was already reported lost in 1815; the oldest surviving printed tangram books date from 1813. An American sea captain named Donnaldson was given a pair of tangram books in Canton in 1815 and carried them to Philadelphia in February 1816, and within two years the puzzle was a craze in Europe, satirised in a French caricature of 1818; the English word 'tangram' is first recorded in Thomas Hill's book of 1848. In 1942 Fu Traing Wang and Chuan-Chih Hsiung proved that only thirteen convex shapes can be made from the seven pieces; this version is 360 PlayZone's own take on the classic. Source.
Inside Tangram Fit: what we checked
The numbers below come from Tangram Fit's own source code, and the screenshots are from our own test run of the game (20 October 2026).
- There are 8 puzzles, ordered by difficulty: The Anvil (Warm-up), The Manta and The Rocket (Easy), The Whale and The Torch (Medium), The Long Boat and The Crane (Hard), and The Sailfish (Expert).
- Tapping a piece turns it 45 degrees, so there are eight orientations. Only the parallelogram can be flipped (F); trying to flip anything else just shows a note.
- Pieces drop onto a half-unit grid, and a piece with the right orientation that lands within about 0.85 of a unit of its spot is pulled into place.
- The two big triangles are interchangeable, and so are the two small ones: either one can fill either slot, as long as every slot ends up filled. The Hint button (H) outlines every slot in its piece's colour.

How to play Tangram Fit
Drag each of the seven pieces from the tray into the glowing silhouette. Tap or click a piece to rotate it 45 degrees, and use Flip for the parallelogram when it faces the wrong way. Pieces snap into place when they line up; fill the whole outline to solve the puzzle and move on.

Tips & tricks
- Place the two big triangles first; they eat the most space and lock the puzzle's overall shape.
- Save the parallelogram and small triangles for last, since they slot neatly into whatever gap is left.
- If a piece looks close but will not snap, tap to rotate it one notch, the outline often needs a specific angle.
