About Idle Adventurer
Idle Adventurer is a text-based idle RPG — originally released as Yet Another Idle RPG — played entirely through clickable panels: health and stamina bars, tooltips, and a scrolling combat log. There are no classes and no skill points. Every skill levels by being used: walking trains your legs, taking hits toughens you up, and even sleeping improves the more you rest.
The loop is a proper little adventure: pick a destination, let the fight play out against whatever lives there, gather materials, then head home to bed and heal. Crafting runs surprisingly deep — cooking, smelting, forging, woodworking and alchemy are separate disciplines — so the gear you fight in can be gear you made. The tactical hook is judging when a hard fight is worth it: scrapping with wolf rats a notch above your weight trains combat skills fast, but push too far and you'll crawl home on empty.
It's for players who enjoy watching a dozen progress bars creep upward while planning three unlocks ahead, and it's still in active development, so the balance keeps evolving. Open-source game by Miktaew, used under the MIT license.

How to play Idle Adventurer
Create your hero, then click a location or activity in the panel on the left to travel, train or work — combat plays out automatically once you're somewhere dangerous. Keep an eye on your health and stamina bars, and return to a bed to sleep off wounds and fatigue. Open the character, inventory and crafting windows to equip loot, cook food and forge better gear. The game saves in your browser automatically; use Export in the saves menu to keep a backup file.
Controls
Everything runs on clicking or tapping panels, buttons and location links, so it works with both mouse and touch — though the dense multi-panel layout is most comfortable on a bigger screen.
Tips & tricks
- Sleeping is a skill of its own — it levels while you rest and makes every later night heal more, so recover in a bed instead of idling your wounds away.
- Hard fights are the fastest teachers: take on enemies a notch above you with your health topped up, and break for bed before things get desperate, not after.
- Don't skip the crafting windows — cooked food and self-made equipment carry you much further than bare fists, and every craft levels the discipline behind it.
- Use Export in the saves menu every session or two. The author flags the balance as a work in progress, and a backup file costs nothing if an update wobbles your run.
