About Type Invaders
A typing game wearing a space-shooter costume, that's Type Invaders. Letters and words drop toward your turret, and you take each one out by typing it correctly before it lands. No aiming, no mouse, just your fingers and a steady rhythm. Things start gently on the home row (a s d f j k l), then the keyboard widens bit by bit, throwing in short and long words, numbers, punctuation, brackets, and eventually a brutal expert mode. Miss and you lose a life; string together accurate hits and your score climbs. The retro pixel look, with ambient letters floating around, keeps it feeling like a real arcade cabinet. And here's the trick: it's genuinely good practice that never feels like practice. This build is fully self-hosted and offline, the original web-font request swapped out for a bundled monospace fallback, plus a hidden text field so phone keyboards can drive it too.
