Idle Miner is the whole incremental genre boiled down to its one honest pleasure: a number going up, then going up faster, then going up so fast that the number you were excited about ten minutes ago is a rounding error.
It starts with a rock and one gold per tap. Sharper picks make each tap worth more; ore carts and hired miners make gold arrive whether you're tapping or not, which is the moment the game starts playing itself. The third lever is the one that actually matters: deepening the shaft. Every ore tier — copper, iron, silver, gold, emerald, ruby, diamond — multiplies everything you earn, so a hundred metres of extra depth is worth more than any number of picks bought at the old tier. Working out when to stop buying tap upgrades and sink the shaft instead is the only real decision in the game, and it's a surprisingly good one.
Upgrade costs climb about fifteen percent each time you buy, so nothing stays cheap and there's always a next target. Progress saves automatically, and your miners keep working while the tab is closed — come back tomorrow and there's a pile waiting.

Tap or click the rock to mine gold. Spend that gold in the shop on the right: pick upgrades increase what each tap is worth, carts and miners generate gold every second whether you're tapping or not, and Deeper Shaft digs the mine further down. Depth unlocks richer ore, and each ore tier multiplies everything you earn, so sinking the shaft is usually the most valuable purchase you can make.

Desktop: click the rock to mine, click any shop entry to buy it, Space to mine, M to mute, ↻ to start a fresh mine. Touch: tap the rock and tap upgrades. Progress saves automatically.
Astuces et conseils
- Deeper Shaft is almost always the best buy. Ore tiers multiply both your per-tap and per-second income, so depth compounds with every other upgrade you own.
- Buy the per-second upgrades early even though tapping feels faster. Carts and miners keep earning while you read the shop, and while the tab is closed.
- Costs rise about fifteen percent per purchase, so when an upgrade starts feeling expensive it usually means a different one is now the better value — check the whole list.
- Closing the tab isn't wasted time. Your miners keep working while you're away, up to eight hours' worth, so there's a payout waiting when you come back.
