Об игре Tank Arena

Tank Arena is a .io game in the proper sense: you open the page and you are immediately in a match, with seven rival tanks already driving around a battlefield much larger than your screen, already fighting each other whether you show up or not.

You drive with one hand and aim with the other — the hull turns where you're going, the turret points wherever your cursor is, and that split is what makes the game feel good. You can reverse away from a fight while still firing into it. The arena is scattered with boulders that block shells as well as tanks, so the whole match becomes a slow circling contest around cover, and the minimap in the corner is usually the difference between a fight you chose and one that chose you.

Repair crates respawn constantly and heal thirty-five points, which means the tank that controls the crates controls the match. Every kill is worth a hundred points and pushes you up the live scoreboard, but wrecked bots respawn with most of their score intact and come straight back, so a lead has to be defended rather than banked. Your best score is saved.

Drive with WASD or the arrow keys and aim with your mouse — the turret tracks your cursor independently of the direction you're driving. Click or press Space to fire. Shells do twenty-six damage, so it takes four clean hits to wreck a tank. Green crates scattered around the arena repair thirty-five health and are worth points, and boulders block shells for you as well as against you. Every kill scores a hundred points; you're out when your own health hits zero.

Desktop: WASD or arrow keys to drive, mouse to aim, click or Space to fire, M to mute. Touch: the on-screen stick drives and the red button fires; the turret tracks your drive direction.

Use the boulders. Circling a rock while reloading is the single most effective habit in the game, because shells stop dead against cover.
The hull and turret are independent, so back away from a fight while still firing into it rather than turning your side to an enemy to escape.
Whoever controls the repair crates controls the match. Thirty-five health is more than a full shell of damage, so contesting a crate is usually worth the risk.
Watch the minimap rather than the fight in front of you. Most deaths come from a second tank arriving while you were winning a one-on-one.
