Sort Factory takes the least glamorous job imaginable — standing at a conveyor belt moving boxes into bins — and turns it into a reflex test that gets genuinely tense. Items ride the belt toward a marked sorting zone, and the moment one arrives you flick it toward whichever bin shares its colour. That's the entire rule set, and for about twenty seconds it feels almost too easy.

Then the belt speeds up. Items start arriving in pairs, then in clusters, and your hand starts moving before your eyes have properly caught up, which is exactly when grease blobs begin sliding down the line. Grease isn't sorted anywhere — it just has to be left alone — so the game stops being about speed and starts being about restraint. The hardest moment in any run is a grease blob arriving in the middle of a fast batch, because the instinct you've spent the last minute training is to flick everything, and this one time you have to do nothing at all.

Three mistakes jam the line and end the shift. Your best score saves between visits, so the natural rhythm is a burst of three or four quick runs while you chase a number you nearly hit last time. Anyone who likes reaction trainers, Fruit Ninja-style flicking, or just wants something to hammer for ninety seconds will find the loop lands immediately.

Watch parcels ride the conveyor into the highlighted sorting zone. As each one arrives, flick or swipe it toward the bin matching its colour — there are three bins around the zone. Grease blobs must be left untouched to slide past on their own. Three wrong sorts or missed items jam the line and end the run, and the belt accelerates the longer you survive.

Desktop: Arrow keys to fling an item to the matching bin, or drag-flick it with the mouse. P pauses, M mutes. Touch: swipe from the item toward the bin you want it in.

• Sort by the bin's position, not by thinking about its colour name — your hand learns 'red is up' far faster than your brain can translate a colour into a direction.
• Grease blobs are the real score killer. When the belt is running fast, watch for their shape rather than their colour, because at speed the shape registers first.
• You don't have to flick the instant an item enters the zone. There's a small window, and hesitating a beat to confirm the colour beats a fast wrong guess every time.
• After a mistake, take the very next item slowly and deliberately. Most runs die not from the first miss but from the panicked second and third that follow it.
