Об игре Flag Quiz

Flag Quiz is a straightforward test of something most people half-know: you can picture the flag perfectly, you're just not certain whether it belongs to Finland or Sweden until you see both side by side.

Fifteen flags come up per run, four options each, drawn from a pool of thirty countries across every continent. The wrong answers are pulled from the same pool rather than made up, which is what makes it genuinely testing — you will get Netherlands and Indonesia in the same list, and Ireland next to Italy, and those are exactly the pairs that catch people out. A second mode swaps the question entirely and asks for the country's capital instead, which turns a visual recall test into a much harder geography one using the same thirty flags.

Scoring rewards conviction. A correct answer is worth ten, but a streak adds five more each time up to a cap, so five in a row is worth far more than five right answers scattered through the round — and one wrong answer resets it to zero. Every flag is drawn as vector shapes in the page itself, so the whole quiz loads instantly and works with no connection at all.

A flag appears with four possible answers below it. Pick the country it belongs to — or, in capital mode, the country's capital city. A correct answer scores ten points plus a growing streak bonus; a wrong one shows you the right answer and resets your streak. Fifteen questions make a full round, and your best score is saved.

Desktop: click an answer, or press 1-4 to pick one, M to mute. Touch: tap the answer you want. Choose 'Name the flag' or 'Name the capital' on the start screen.

Look at the stripe direction first. Ireland, Italy, Belgium, France and Nigeria are all vertical bands, while Germany, Netherlands and Russia run horizontally — that alone halves most lists.
The streak bonus is where the score really comes from, so on a flag you genuinely don't know it is worth taking a moment rather than clicking fast and losing a run of five.
Watch the near-twins: Netherlands and Indonesia are the same two colours in opposite order, and Ireland and Italy differ only in their third stripe.
Capital mode uses the same thirty countries, so playing flag mode first is a genuinely effective way to learn the set before you attempt the harder version.
